ARTIST BIO:
Keren Albala was hatched on a cold winter morning in the Midwest. She enjoyed the harsh seasons for few years before being moved to California, where she read a lot of books, caught a lot of bugs and played some weird instruments. She received her BA in Art Practice from UC Berkeley in 2001, with an emphasis in experimental film and video, and then flew south to get her MFA in Animation and Digital Arts at USC. The first film she made there was Tell Me Everything, a manic collage of animation and found footage. Her latest animated film is The Collection, a hand-drawn story about an abandoned library and a paper world. Currently she is nesting in San Francisco and Los Angeles. |
